This is the service if you need  moderate quantities of garden waste collected on a regular basis. Our collection truck  is in your area  every two weeks in  the summer period and  up to every month in the winter.  Just get on and enjoy your gardening. No more heavy, messy trips to the tip or double handling into unsightly plastic bins.  The service is incredibly flexible. You just put in what you need, then each time you need  a  collection you simply fill in the quick collection request form on this website. This helps the environment. Our software works out the optimum route for each day thus minimising collection transport miles.

When you join the regular bag collection service (using form below) you purchase some strong, reusable green garden bags from us.  These bags are easy to use around the garden and you only have to fill once then put them out for collection. No unsightly plastic bins, littering your road!  You also purchase a pre-paid credit of 20 bag empties.  All the bags have a scan ticket attached which identifies who you are and the date and time collected. Our driver also records the number of bags empties from you each visit. This data is stored on your account and when this reaches 6 or less empties you are sent an advice note/invoice, payable by direct debit, which automatically tops up your account by a further 20 empties.  This means you never have to worry if you have enough credit and the service continues as long as you want.  Frequently asked questions are listed lower on this page.

Existing customers who use BACS payments to top-up your account. Demand for our services are increasing and we need to streamline our payments system, plus make it easier for you. If you are a customer currently using BACS, you will be asked to move to direct debit, in line with the majority of our customers.

What size are the green bags? 45x45x60 cms or maximum 120/ltr capacity and very strong. Just the right size to carry around  as you do your gardening, but not too big to make it unmanageable. Once the material is in the bag you don't need to handle it again.

How many bags do I need? This depend on the size of your garden of course, but as a guide an average semi-detached house uses about 4. Extra bags make it easier.

How much do the bags cost? During 2024 the price is £6.70 each, with free delivery.

Do the bags remain with me? Yes, these green bags are your property and re-usable for a long time. The driver empties the garden waste into the collection truck and returns the  green bag/s to your garden'.

Can I use my own bags? We need to know the volume of waste collected and so can only accept garden waste in bags supplied by us. We cannot take away plastic and our vehicles does not have a plastic bin lift.

What is the collection cost?  During 2024 the cost of 20 bag empties is £42.00, that is £2.10 per bag empty.

How do I pay for the service? We ask you to set up a direct debit through a secure third party, GoCardless. When your account reaches 6 or less bag empties we send an invoice/notification and immediately top your account with a further 20 bag empties.  With our service you only pay when you have garden waste to put out.

Is there any time limit?  No, once you have paid for the collections and this will remain valid for as long as you like.

How many bags do I need to put out? This is entirely up to you, there is no minimum.

Where should I leave the bags?  As near as possible to the public highway or good, accessible private drive please.

Can I arrange a special pick-up point?  Yes a routine  instruction note can be applied to the driver round list.  This may be useful if you are disabled or have any other requirements. Please  use  the message section of the "join form" above, by email or our contact form.

What can I put in the bags? Green/garden waste only please. No plastic, glass or large wood over 75mm dia. Anything that grows!

Will my bags be collected at a regular time? We aim to collect  on the published date but the actual time will be dependent on demand.

What if my bags have not been collected?  Sometimes there may be a  small delay due very high demand. Don't worry you are still on the driver's list and your bags will be collected asap, usually the next day.  The system is completely automated and very reliable so there is no need to contact us.

What If I have more waste than will fit in the bag/s? No problem!. Just leave any extra waste in a tidy pile near your bags. The driver will collect this and record an estimate of the bag equivalent.  We do not need to know this in advance and can collect any quantity.

Do you collect on bank holidays? Yes, Unlike District Councils we do not inconvenience you when bank holidays coincide with collection dates.

How can I join this scheme? Just fill in the form above and  press the  button. We will send you an email confirmation, plus a direct debit mandate form. Once the direct debit is set up we will send you further instructions on how to use the system and deliver your bags.

How can I cancel the service? most customers stay with us for a very long time due to the service we provide. However, circumstances arise such as moving house or other issues and we ara happy to make cancellation easy.  Please use the contact page, giving your details including customer code if possible. We will respond by email, review your account and quickly issue any refund due to you.
